Ranka Petrović

Ranka Petrović (born July 27, 1976) graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, completing two departments – piano under Professor Jokut Mihajlović and general music pedagogy under the mentorship of Professor Ivana Hrpka.

Since 2002, she has been teaching piano at the Music School “Vatroslav Lisinski”, where she has established herself as a respected pedagogue. Over more than two decades, her students have won over 100 awards at national and international competitions, including First Prizes at the Republic Competition in Belgrade, the “Nikolai Rubinstein” competition in Paris, as well as awards at the “Davorin Jenko” and “Sirmium Music Fest” competitions in Sremska Mitrovica.

For eight years, she was a member of the renowned Collegium Musicum Choir under the direction of Darinka Matić Marović, refining her interpretation of challenging choral works while emphasizing precision, stylistic expression, and ensemble cohesion.

A special focus of her work is teaching children with special needs, helping them integrate into the wider musical and social community. She is also the author of the piano collection “Ranka’s Collection”, designed for young pianists. Through her pedagogical and artistic work, Ranka Petrović reminds her students and audiences that music has the power to shape, inspire, and move people – regardless of age, skill, or ability.
