He was born in Targu-Jiu, where he also started his musical studies in 1977. His attention towards music appeared as he met personalities as Aurelian Octav Popa and Mihai Ungureanu (1986). In 1987 he became a student of some well-known teachers (Mariana Ilie- piano, and Cornelia David –music theory) in Craiova and from 1990 he was under guidance of the famous pedagogical teacher Gabriel Amiras. He graduated in 1996 The Music Academy from Bucharest, Composition Section with teachers as Dan Constantinescu, Dan Dediu, Anatol Vieru si Aurel Stroe, also studying as main specialization the piano with Viniciu Moroianu. At the same time, he is under the guidance of Valentin Gruescu.
As a pianist, he performed over 300 concerts and recitals, mostly in Targu-Jiu but also in Ramnicu Valcea, Craiova, Bucuresti (piano, chamber music, accompaniment) performing a large repertoire.
He joined mastery courses, held in Bucharest by foreign performers (Gerard Fremy, Martin Hughes, Hao Huang, Serghei Kovalenko) and he also has been invited to perform by the “Magnificat” at the Contemporary Music Festival (Bucharest, 1995).
He joined specialization courses in France, Marseille, with George Boeuf (composition) and Anne Girardelli (piano).
He founded beside the cellist Mircea Suchici The Chamber Orchestra “Lyra Gorjului” which he often led and beside which he often concerted as a pianist.
He was a piano and accompaniment teacher at Art High School “Marin Sorescu” in Craiova, and he continued to teach at Art High School “Constantin Brailoiu” in Targu-Jiu.
Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra has always been promoted him as a composer.
He is a also a member of the “Omnia Trio” Band from Craiova.
He has been invited at the International Festival of Modern Art from Carei as a pianist and composer.
He performed recitals of music and poetry beside famous Romanian actors (Ilie Gheorghe, Ovidiu Iuliu Moldovan, Valeria Seciu, Florin Piersic).
He has collaborated with the world-famous panpipe interpreter Gheorghe Zamfir.
Nowadays he is collaborating with “Elvira Godeanu” Drama Theater from Targu-Jiu, where he is constantly invited to perform beside its actors (Marian Negrescu, Cosmin Brehuta, Madalina Ciobanuc).
At the same time, he continues his didactical and methodical activity.
He has been a member in juries of some national and international contests (“Orpheus”, “Craiova Piano”).
He was the president of “Corala Gorjeana” Contest.
He was invited at the “Petre Brancusi” National Symposium.
He has been invited in a large number of radio and television broadcasts and shows.
